My heart beats faster with each syllable, and the joy is complete when I read the others' stories. Their thoughts. Their heart. I discover I am not alone.
Sometimes the words come fast and steady, like a waterfall after the spring thaw. Other days it's like pushing through a dense fog. Searching for the right string of syllables, not knowing it's right there within my reach. Sometimes the silence is overwhelming.
I keep moving forward. I write my way through the unknown until my vision is cleared.
And I realize are messengers of our story. Because it is not ours, but God's. To open up a window and let the light that is your life shine for all to see...that's pure love.
We were not made to live in the dark.
STOP.
Beautiful, Abby. That's the wonderful thing about the writing world, not just the FMF community: we can gain so much encouragement from reading someone else's words and realizing that we are not alone in how we feel and in our struggles. But most importantly, we have a God who is for us and knows our hearts. He placed the passion and desire for writing inside of us for a reason. To honor that is beautiful.

Delete"I write my way through the unknown until my vision is cleared." That line is really sticking with me. A great reminder that when we sit down to write, we don't have to already know what we're going to say...in fact, it's often better if we don't! The very act of writing brings us to conclusions we never would have realized otherwise.
